A new survey suggests that Fianna Fáil enjoys more support from voters than any other party in the country.
An Irish Times/Ipsos MRBI poll has found that 30% of respondents said they would vote for Fianna Fáil in a general election, while 27% said they would support Fine Gael.
October’s poll had Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil level on 26% each.
The survey indicates increased support for the Labour Party at 6% (up from 5%) and a drop in support for Sinn Féin with 17% (down from 19%) and the Independents down from 24% to 20%.
The margin of error in the poll is put at 2.8%.
