Hines Granted Planning Permission For Cherrywood Town Centre Development

International real estate firm Hines has been granted planning permission by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to build a 2.1 million square foot town centre at Cherrywood.

The project, at a cost of €1 billion, will include 1,269 build-to-rent apartments and 585,000 sq ft of retail and office space. Leisure space is also in the planning.

Hines have spoken out and said that the three-year project is expected to create housing for over 3,200 people, office accommodation for 2,300 and employment for an additional 2,500 retail and leisure workers over time.

On top of this, 3,000 construction jobs are to be created. Work on the development of Cherrywood Town Centre will begin towards the end of 2018.

Additionally, the urban development will have a wide range of bars and restaurants, including a 200 room hotel.
