MoneyConf Expected to Draw More Than 5,000 Visitors to Dublin

Today marks the start of MoneyConf 2018, a conference dedicated to exploring the future of finance and technology. Now in its 4th year, MoneyConf is expected to draw more than 5,000 people to Dublin’s RDS Arena over the next three days, 11 – 13 June.

The event will offer speeches and panels with a line up of speakers from companies such as Visa, Fitbit, and Amazon Pay. More than 1,000 companies from 60 countries are expected to be represented at this year’s event.

Speakers will address topics such ‘Saying goodbye to passwords and pins’, ‘Changing how the world buys’, and ‘What too much money means for tech’. The talks will range from 15 – 50 minutes.

Represented startups will have the opportunity to showcase their businesses to investors and, if they meet certain criteria, compete in MoneyConf’s live pitching battle, PITCH.

MoneyConf, which was created by the people behind Web Summit, is the fastest-growing conference of its kind in Europe, according to creator Paddy Cosgrave. In 2017, the conference had approximately 1,800 attendees, a number that’s expected to more than double for this year’s event.

This year is MoneyConf’s first year in Dublin, as it has previously been hosted in Madrid. The event is expected to remain in Ireland over the next few years.
