New Mural Installed on Water Street by Cork City Council

A new bold and bright mural, sponsored and commissioned by Cork City Council, was recently installed on Water Street. Created by artist, designer and illustrator Garreth Joyce, the full-size mural celebrates Cork’s top billing in the Condé Nast Traveler survey of the world’s friendliest cities.

When giving the award the travel magazine described the city as “an intimate (and picturesque, thanks to its riverside location) town… bursting with cosy pubs and beer gardens, where you can ‘enjoy the outdoors while sharing a table with friendly locals’.”
