Networking Weekend at Blas Backyard

The Blas Backyard is back this afternoon, 5th October, with Conversations in the Backyard. The weekend event creates a space for producers to meet their industry colleagues and form a support network for their business.

Blas is a great networking event, set in a relaxed, informal venue, where producers, customers, and industry experts gather to talk and learn from each other. The event is supported by Bank of Ireland and Blas na hÉireann and Director of Munster Bank of Ireland, Liam Sheedy, has made a statement saying how delighted BOI are to partner again with Blas na hÉireann.

‘Serving customers brilliantly and supporting communities to help them thrive is a key priority for Bank of Ireland.’

Last year, this innovate breakout space welcomed many Irish producers to the event, many of whom say what they learned over the two days at Blas was invaluable. This Friday, Saturday, Sunday networking event runs discussions, workshops, showcases that cover hot topics within the industry. Today’s conversations will deal with online sales and online business, sustainable approaches to work, financial planning for future growth, and pitching to buyers. There’s something to suit everyone this weekend with discussions looking at the basics of where to start when transitioning to an online business, to a more advanced Bord Bia masterclass in the afternoon on how to make strategic decisions for your business.

Registration for the weekend event begins at 12noon today at The Phoenix Cinema, Dingle. The first panel discussion kicks off today at 1.30pm and will explore the theme of burnout and a sustainable approach to work. Saturday’s programme commences at 10.30am, and Sunday is an opportunity for producers to call in for coffee and catch up before everything wraps up.
