Clare County Council is once again delighted to partner with Motion by Electronomous to bring leading global players within the mobility, automotive and aviation ecosystem to the brand-new Future Mobility Campus Ireland in Shannon.
Founders, investors, mobility startups, OEMs, Tier 1s, technologists and organisations like Cubic Transportation Systems, Free Now, Jaguar Land Rover, Dell, Tier Mobility, Bolt, IDA, Taoglas and Enterprise Ireland gathered at Future Mobility Campus Ireland for an action-packed day of hands-on workshops and panel debates to discover the technology that is changing how we move people and goods, and to help shape future mobility.
Tours included the brand new Urban Vertiport on campus where attendees learned how this facility will forge a pathway for the movement of goods and people using drones in the future, and the Jaguar Land Rover workshop where attendees got an overview of Vehicle Connected Data Platform, Autonomous Driving and Driver Assistance systems.
After the daytime event, a networking event was held at Bunratty Castle and Folk Park for attendees, allowing them the opportunity to enjoy the very best of Clare hospitality.
Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council, Cllr Tony O’Brien, said, “as Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council, it was a privilege to attend this excellent event at Future Mobility Campus Ireland. To have the ability to attract leading players from the mobility, automotive and aviation sectors is a great asset for Shannon and the wider region. It was a great opportunity for me to get a further insight into the talent and skills possessed by those in these industries, and it was great to see what they can offer the region. I hope that today’s event bears fruit in terms of future investment in Shannon, Clare, and the Mid-West region as a whole.”
Liam Conneally, Director of Economic Development, Clare County Council, who participated in a panel discussion focused on ‘Identifying, fostering and keeping talent to ensure growth in the Tech and Mobility Sector’, said, “it is fantastic to see this event, Motion by Electronomous, bringing such a high calibre of expertise and skillsets to Shannon. The Mid-West Regional Enterprise Plan sets out our commitment to driving the region from an innovation and digital perspective with a specific action to develop and expand advanced mobility capability at the Future Mobility Campus Ireland.”
