Digital Business Ireland, the country’s largest representative body for the digital commerce sector and leading financial service provider, Permanent TSB, have announced the launch of the National Digital Awards Series 2022. The announcement marks the third edition of the National Digital Awards, with this year’s series set to be the first in-person ceremony, where the winners and runners-up will be announced at a luncheon in Dublin on March 3rd 2023.
Entries are now open in 21 categories, spanning the length and breadth of the digital commerce space, to include: Large Website of the Year, Digital Trailblazer, Social Media Campaign of the Year, Digital Advocate of the Year and Sustainable Business of the Year – among many others. This year, an additional category has been included, to reflect the new and emerging trend across the digital sphere; namely, the ‘Excellence in Accessibility Award’, which is sponsored by Inclusion & Accessibility Labs. The much-coveted Permanent TSB ‘National Website of the Year Award’ was won by An Post last year, and is set to remain a highly-competitive category.
Businesses and individuals are invited to enter through the National Digital Awards website page . An independent judging panel made up of digital experts will adjudicate. The closing date for entries is 11th November, though early entry is advised.
Speaking at the launch, Secretary General of Digital Business Ireland, Lorraine Higgins, said, “Digital Business Ireland is delighted to officially launch the National Digital Awards 2022, alongside our primary partner and title sponsor, Permanent TSB. Following the tremendous success of last year’s series, where we received more than 400 entries, we are very much looking forward to showcasing the very best and brightest in the digital sector in Ireland.”
“Now in its third iteration, the National Digital Awards are a core pillar of our extensive events programme, and we are proud to have many of Ireland’s foremost digital suppliers as our category sponsors, and equally to have the support of an industry-leading judging panel. In addition, we wish to acknowledge the longstanding support of our title sponsor, Permanent TSB, who has paved the way for businesses on their digital journeys, and who has enabled so many members of Digital Business Ireland to grow and thrive online. As entry to the National Digital Awards is free; we encourage every eligible person, business and organisation to throw their hat in the ring and make a submission.”
