Dublin City Council Callout for Street Artists to ‘Paint the Town’

Dublin City Council is seeking to commission large scale street artworks by street artists to paint in appropriate locations across the city.

This innovative project is intended to improve and animate the general appearance of five different sites across the city, while also supporting street artists to make highly visible work in the city-centre. It is hoped that the project will boost the beauty of these locations around the city.

Artists are encouraged to be as creative as possible with their designs and must submit original designs which they feel are suitable for the project. The purpose is to celebrate the city and enhance the experience of the public when coming into the city by ‘Painting the Town’.

This initiative is part of a wider programme led by the Office of City Recovery.

The proposed sites are:

  • Townsend Street, Dublin 2
  • Kevin Street, Dublin 8
  • 59 Lower Dorset Street, Dublin 1
  • 88 Prussia Street, Dublin 7
  • Gable at Bow Street Dublin 7

The deadline for receipt of applications is 12 p.m. on Monday 5th July 2021
