As part of European Mobility Week, @Fingalcoco is holding a ‘Car Free Day’ in Malahide on Sunday, September 22. New Street area will be closed to traffic from 10am – 2pm (exceptions for buses, PSV’s, emergency vehicles and local access) to allow pedestrians and cyclists move freely in the vicinity for the morning.
Local businesses and café’s will be supported by Fingal to promote the theme, and to encourage customers to walk or cycle into town for free tea and coffee on the morning.
Staff from the Road Safety Section in Fingal will also be present, along with face painters, balloon modellers, glitter tattoo artist, magician and other street entertainment. It would be great to have your support on the day.
