PwC has announced a two-year strategic charity partnership with the Irish Youth Foundation (IYF) and Pieta, which will seek to raise significant funds for both charities.
The partnership involves PwC committing up to €200,000 in matched funding so that every euro raised or donated by PwC employees up to this amount is doubled. Additional support will be provided to both charities through a number of volunteering projects and skill-based training and development programmes.
Speaking at the launch, Feargal O’Rourke PwC Managing Partner said, “every year as a firm, PwC makes a significant impact in our communities through a number of charitable initiatives and events.”
“Care is one of our core values and, this year, we have committed to doing even more to give back and make a difference. We are delighted to have partnered with the Irish Youth Foundation and Pieta so that we can support the remarkable work they do every day”.
Lucy Masterson CEO of Irish Youth Foundation said, “PwC’s support will go a long way towards achieving the Irish Youth Foundation’s mission to lift thousands of bright young people out of poverty in communities around the country. This will include practical training and employment programmes as well as mental health initiatives to boost resilience and morale”.
Elaine Austin CEO of Pieta commented, “this partnership will help to sustain our free, lifesaving services to support those in distress during these most challenging times. PwC’s support will help us to continue this important community-based support now and into the future”.
