Galway County Council has confirmed that the preparation of detailed designs for two multi-million-euro renewal projects in Athenry and Tuam town centres has commenced.
The Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys T.D., has announced record funding of €164 million for 30 landmark regeneration projects across the country.
Minister Joe O’Brien T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Rural and Community Development has today announced an increase in funding of almost €1m to local authorities to support their community functions. This additional funding will in particular support the work of the Local Community Development Committees (LCDCs) through Additional Staff Resource (ASR) payments.
