Taoiseach Leo Varadkar Cuts Ribbon on 26 new Social Homes in Thurles

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar cut the ribbon to mark the opening of 26 new social homes at Monastery Close, Thurles on Friday 29th November for Thurles Lions Trust Housing Association. This new development consists of high-quality houses and apartments, which will cater for the different housing demands, including for those needing single storey accommodations in Thurles. This development consists of 15 two-bed bungalows and 11 one-bed apartments.

This is a much-needed development of new social homes for Thurles and Tipperary County Council is part of the delivery of new housing under Rebuilding Ireland.The new tenants cover a broad social mix, leading to a very sustainable community: including social and private tenants, elderly and middle aged, persons with disabilities and able-bodied individuals, as well as a returned emigrant under the “Safe Home Programme”.
