TSG Charge Podcast Featuring David Swaine

In last weeks discussion we spoke to David Swaine who is the Head of E-mobility for TSG Charge.

TSG Ireland is a well-established company in Ireland operating in the transport and fuel sector. Formerly known as Tokheim, they provide professional solutions to many service station forecourts in Ireland. They are introducing a range of chargers for Electric Vehicles to the market, which are backed up by their nationwide services and supports.

Moreover, they deliver a full range of EV Service Equipment (chargers) for AC slow and fast charging, as well as high-power Rapid DC Charging. TSG’s product set covers all applications from managed home chargers to commercial, business and public charging.

In this podcast, David along with Jack Mullen, spoke about a variety of different, yet interrelated topics.

Developments in Ireland’s EV charging infrastructure were discussed by David. Furthermore, questions surrounding government led schemes that incentivise the installation of charging points were also touched upon in last week’s discussion.

In the latter part of the Q&A, the conversation seemed to move away from Ireland’s EV charging infrastructure and more so towards the impacts that Covid-19, damaged supply chains and lessened demand have had on the industry.

Finally, David gave us his predictions on some of the innovations he thought are coming down the line, and how new forms of tech may behave as a fundamental actor in driving both individual and government perceptions around sustainable transport.
