Council Journal would like to present the eight episode of our Women in Business series, featuring Bailey Kelly and Deirdre Young of H&G Creations.
Co-founders Sinead and Deirdre are the self-taught, self-starters behind the H&G Creations Ltd. Collectively the pair have 28 years experience in the hospitality and event industry, and together they dreamed up H&G Creations Ltd. in 2014.
Since then they have seen huge success working with some of the biggest and brightest brands from across the globe. Accenture, Electric Picnic, Facebook, Guinness, Hendrick’s Gin, Roe & Co. and St. Patrick’s Festival to name a few.
Sinead and Deirdre started the business at the height of the recession with no capital or investment.
Their hard work, delivery on briefs, attention to detail, artistic vision and creative flair has meant H&G Creations Ltd. have impressed and excelled in the industry.
In 2022, Sinead and Deirdre were shortlisted for ‘Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneurs’ by The Local Enterprise Office and their event was shortlisted for the Best Cultural Event by the Event Industry Awards.
These amazing women have now branched out and created another company since the pandemic began.
Sinead told us, “we were dramatically affected by the aftermath of social distancing and the pandemic. Since then we have started a new company called The Home Moment. The Home Moment has been quite successful since its inception in 2020. H&G creations is still alive, and we have been fully booked all year in 2022 with bookings from weddings, festivals, private corporate events and design projects.”
We wish these inspiring women the very best in their business ventures both now and in the future and we look forward to seeing them thrive in 2023.
