Cork County Council’s Local Enterprise Offices have announced the ‘All in a Day’s Work’ campaign aimed at helping small businesses to save, time, money and energy. The campaign was formally launched by Neale Richmond TD, Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail and combines three business support programmes, including Lean for Business, Green for Business, and Digital for Business.
The campaign highlights the supports available to enable small business to make significant changes to the way they work. Figures show how the ‘Lean for Business’ programme, running in collaboration with Enterprise Ireland since 2015, has helped save businesses an average of €34,000 by supporting them to work more efficiently and improve their processes.
Speaking at the launch of the campaign, Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr. Frank O’Flynn said, “small business owners invest their heart and soul into growing a business. This campaign highlights the support and advice available to help businesses across Cork County save time and money by being more efficient. I’d encourage all small business to contact their Local Enterprise Office in South Cork or Cork North and West to avail of this fantastic initiative.”
Kevin Curran, Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office Cork North and West added, “working closely with, and supporting local businesses, means we have an innate understanding of the challenges business owners face in our region. The supports and programmes we offer are not short-term quick fixes, they are about helping businesses to be more efficient, more productive, and more sustainable in the long term.”
Speaking about the campaign, Joe Burke, Acting Head of Enterprise Local Enterprise Office South Cork said, “our programmes allow participants to look at their business from the outside to realise what may be stunting their growth. Support from likeminded people, who also partake in LEO programmes, is vital and a key component for many. We are proud to showcase and celebrate the successes of our clients who continue to achieve fantastic results both for their business and themselves on a personal level.”
Encouraging businesses to avail of the supports available, Chief Executive of Cork County Council, Valerie O’Sullivan added, “All in a Day’s Work represents how your Local Enterprise Office has the knowledge and supports to really help make your business stronger and more efficient. Our figures show that businesses that have availed of these programmes had an average 31% increase in their output or production. These are real and tangible benefits that will help business owners to save time, money, and energy.”
