Inspirefest 2018 Conference Invites Speakers on the Arts, STEM

Inspirefest 2018 will be held from 21-22 June in Dublin’s Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.The two-day festival and conference brings together experts on STEM, the arts, blockchain technology and accessibility, among many other themes.

Hosted by Silicon Republic, Inspirefest is expected to have more than 3,000 attendees from 30 countries and approximately 60 speakers. A majority of the festival’s guests and speakers are typically women.  In the past, conference attendees have included representatives from Etsy, Fitbit, MasterCard, Airbnb, and Vodafone.

A few of this year’s speakers are Surbhi Sarna, CEO and founder of nVision Medical; Zoe Philpott, entrepreneur and storyteller; Gerry Ellis, accessibility and usability consultant; and Yvonne Jacobi, COO for the Aon Centre for Innovation and Analytics.

Among the topics covered by speakers will be, “STEM and STEAM Education for the many”, “Next Generation: The future is now”, “The Future of Money: Fintech uncovered”, and “Exciting Experiments in Art and Technology”.

In addition to conference admission, Inspirefest tickets will also give attendees access to Silicon Republic’s Fringe Fest. The festival runs in the evenings during the conference and aims to celebrate technology, design, science, and the arts. This year’s Fringe Fest will include music from Hvmmingbyrd, an exhibition from photographer Paul Condron and Ada’s Army, an interactive story from Zoe Philpott that will encourage festival attendees to get involved with the history of women in STEM.
