Lord Mayor of Dublin Daithí de Róiste remarked, “Dublin City Council Hip Hop Showcase offers a fantastic opportunity for families to visit the centre of our city and enjoy an incredible range of entertainment, for all ages, absolutely free of charge. Events like this offer a platform for local talent and foster a sense of community cohesion. This event is part of our ongoing efforts to bring free, family-friendly entertainment to the city.”

Following the tremendous success of previous family events held in Meeting House Square, such as the Dublin City Council Outdoor Cinema Club and Dublin City Council Urban Circus, the Council are thrilled to bring the vibrant world of hip hop to the heart of Dublin’s City Centre.

The event will feature an array of family-friendly entertainment that includes mesmerizing hip hop dance performances, exhilarating street dance battles and demos, electrifying hip hop artists performances, thrilling DJ demos, captivating street artist demos, and a face painting station and glitter tattoo station for added fun. Attendees can also indulge in delicious food and beverages available from onsite vendors throughout the day.
