Chambers Ireland has published the shortlist for the 2022 Sustainable Business Impact Awards. In total, 75 projects have been shortlisted across fourteen award categories. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on September 22nd.
The Chambers Ireland Sustainable Business Impact Awards are sponsored by BAM Ireland and run-in association with the Department of Rural and Community Development who support the Social Enterprise category.
Minister of Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, stated, “Social Enterprises provide a vital role in their communities. This was particularly so during Covid-19 when so many Social Enterprises went above and beyond. I’m therefore delighted to support these awards, which contribute to improving the opportunities for social enterprises in the business-to-business supply chain. Sponsorship of the ‘Partnering with a Social Enterprise’ category underscores my commitment to supporting Social Enterprises and to the ongoing delivery of the National Social Enterprise Policy.”

The awards are sponsored by BAM Ireland and highlight the impactful and innovative ways businesses engage with the UN Sustainable Development Goals in their communities.

The Sustainable Business Impact Awards showcase best practice in sustainable business development and social responsibility undertaken by companies of all sizes across Ireland. The UN Sustainable Development Goals are at the heart of these Awards, celebrating sustainable business practices and championing Chambers Ireland’s alignment with the Goals.
The SDGs are a compass to which companies can measure and align their strategies to, and in doing so the business case for the SDGs is at the core of the importance of transformative practices.
